Thought you were talking about the bottom line price. The base 2500 is higher, so that makes up the difference.

i think i woulda splurged on the v10 and sport package was the v10 available in the 1500?

Nope. The extra weight of the V10 required the heavier suspension, axle and beefed-up frame of the 2500/3500.

Want me to post up the one from my dad's 1986 Blazer (that we recently scrapped, so sad!)? $14,688 in 1986 is $28,751 in today's dollars. That thing was top of the line!

EDIT: I also have the original deal papers, the Original owner paid $8715 for it because he had a '79 to trade in for it. So, he paid $17,059 in today's dollars for it. My dad paid $1,500 for it in 2002, which is $1,788 today.

Thanks I love her, Overpaid maybe in your eye's, this truck is loaded including factory electric sliding sunroof(yes it's factory) I have seen 3 others like it, there are not to many 96's with the opts I have. I am trying to get the sheet up but I am having a hard time getting it to the rite size kb
