Default Anoying warning lights

I apologize if this has been posted before.
I have a 97 Ram Sport and the "ABS" and "Brake" light kicked on when I released the e brake this summer. Everything seems to work fine, I'm just sick of looking at them and would rather fix it right.
I understand there is a sensor on the rear dif? Why would that of failed when I released the brake?
Any sugestions, besides pull out the light bulbs, would be great!

Find a shop that has a scanner that can read ABS codes.

Pull up on the E-brake pedal to make sure it is all the way up.

I tried the old pull up on the e brake trick when this first happened and I also checked all of the wiring around the switch for tightness. I started the truck today and must of hit the PFM switch. Lights went away and were not effected when I worked the e brake. We'll see what happens down the road. Thanks again.
