Going to the junkyard tomorrow, need advice on an electric fan.
i would look for this in a single kit if your only running 1 fan. So far I love my dual setup. I have this setup on my fans and so far is working great

I just put the one from a 05 crown vic in mine, took me about six hours to do it all just because it's so friggin cold. I bought the 85.00$ kit from dccontrol.com but then found out the crown vic fans are variable speed so I had to put an ignition relay int the circuit. The controller now turns he ignition relay on then the relay turns the fan on. Cost me about 130.00$ with everything, but I had to make some adapters to bolt it up to the radiator in the original spots.
I am not worthy o lord
THANK YOU!

yes, adding the electrical aspect into it can make it a little less dependable.......as for stop and go traffic, it will cool it down fine as long as your battery and alternator are healthy....AS SOON AS my mark8 kicks on, temp starts droppin.....i have a $17 controller from autozone, start your truck, let it get to the temp you want it to kickon, then turn your controller dial until it does, then once it drops so many degrees it automatically shuts off
If it works, let it alone for now. I know your looking for something cheap to do because your out of work, but this isn't an area to guess in. And your dana 60 axle swap idea last week certainly isn't cheap. Save most of the money, land a job, then revisit later. I still would go to the junkyard though to get an idea of what is there. Who knows you may see something there that peaks your interest and a little easier on the wallet.
