Hwllo
thank you Halfamil, I use Prestone 5 year extended diluted with distilled water. I flushed twice since I had to change the last heater core this past November. I got a new coolant meter and I try to make it 50/50 mix. This time I am thinking about replacing the thermostat with a 180F since all pieces going to be apart again. What sucks bad is to undo the nut at the fan clutch.
Congratulations on 447k miles with original engine, you are a hero with Dodge.
Thank you

Something is up with your belt/pulley system, for sure.Location means alot when choosing a t-stat. 10 degrees F or less, the 180 does not work well in my truck. Also, fill out your signature by clicking on the cp user, at the top of the page. You will get alot more replies, and you won't have to type all the info about you truck every time you post.As far as me being a hero, I'm not. I consider my truck truck the hero. Good luck!
