Default new headliner

Well today i took down my headliner and took it to the shop and got a new one for $60. Felt pretty proud but it is a hassle getting it down along with back up. I will post some pics later but is black and thinking about painting my overhead console the same color as my truck

how tough was it to put it back on without any air pockets? Id just like to get a blue one., since my truck is blue, the interior is blue, but the headliner is tan....

I did one a while back in my old explorer. The hardest part was reinstalling the panel, but it was pretty easy overall. I didn't have any air pockets. I just used 3m adhesive spray and a wallpaper brush to smooth it out.

rumble, did you use mossy oak headliner material (with the foam backing) or just fabric? How wide of a piece did you need?

So did you just peel off the OEM fabric (what hasn't already peeled off on its own) and then just recover using the spray adhesive? That looks pretty good.
