LED Light Bar
nope

yep
just line it up above the top of the bumper and below the lip on the bottom of the tailgate so that the tailgate won't crush it. you'll have to barely stick the tape when you think it is about right, then open the tailgate slowly to make sure that it won't crush it and when you have it lined up then you just push it down to make the tape stick.
as for wiring, cut the pigtail off and splice it into the trailer wiring as far under the bed as you can get it. use the pigtail that is on the lights compared to the trailer wiring pigtail to make sure you connect the lights wires to the right ones.
you know what they say about opinions...

thought you were showing where they're supposed to go.
where would you run the wire if you did that? actually, doesn't that part lay flush with the bumper when you open the tailgate? those lights aren't very strong.

I dont think you are getting what I am saying. Frenched, as in they would sit behind where the rest of the metal is. Unlit, it would look like the factory tailgate, because there is already a deep body line there.

Then I would freaking make it fit! Not many of you guys think outside the box, do ya? Customization.
