Default God I hate snow

5k lbs of vehicle + snow covered road = FAIL! So it finally decides to snow here in eastern NC and I'm headin to work saturday morning and I guess I hit some black ice because my truck was no longer going around the curve. Instead I head right for the ditch and went in. Somehow I didn't damage the body any but I messed up my steering pretty bad and I think I have a bent wheel. I'll know more tomorrow.

Thank god for Hummers

I'm actually really lucky I didn't hit the concrete drainage pipe thing right behind where I went in otherwise I would have been royally screwed.

that little bit of snow we got friday night was gone by mid day saturday over here in cameron.
did the guy in the hummer laugh at you? you know those hummer drivers are pretty cocky.
since you say the steering is hosed, i would start by looking at the tie rod ends with the wheels off the ground.

nah its a 2wheeler. i think even a 4x4 would have had problems with that. the pictures dont really show it but that ditch was pretty steep an the snow was a good 6in deep. i was definatley thinkin the worse when i got out but a bent wheel and new steering components is not that bad

+1 on hating snow. That is why I live in deep South Texas. No snow here since 1985.
