They may have shipped the wrong AAL, because when I held the AAL up to the leaf pack it went past the spring bands. So I dunno. I got both sides done and it lifted the truck and thats all that matters.

 

There are long AAL's and short AAL's. The long ones don't affect the ride as much but they are about twice as much $.

I thought installing the long add a leafs you had to disassemble the spring packs and short one you didn't have to disassemble.

I did the short ones and it was real easy.

I had to take the bottom shock bolt off to get the axle to drop far enough.
I also didn't see it mentioned to unclip the wire that goes to the rear wheel speed sensor so you don't break the clips or to watch the axle vent tube so you don't rip it off.
Removing the leaf springs is not necessary.
You might have to put some weight on the top of the drum to get it low enough to put the block back in.

Here's my before and after pictures of the Tuff Country AAL.
I had to use ratchet straps to pull the axle back into position because it shifted a little bit, but it only took minimal tension on the straps to move it.

i have already searched a bazillon of websides, but i didn´t find the right longer U-bolts for my "add-a-leaf spring pack".
I want to oder at summit racing, but there are too many U-bolts listed...
It´s all Greek to me :-O
You measures in inch, here in germany we measure in metric.

Please help me to find the right parts.

Just go measure your current u-bolts. Then add the thickness of the AAL to that number. If you need to convert your total from metric to inches to buy from the US, just use google to convert. Simply type in metric (or millimeter/centemeter/etc...) to inches, and it will give you a calculator to use.

 

My stock u bolts had about 1/2" (12.7mm) sticking out after tightening them down. So measure yours and add about 12-15 mm to be safe.
