Throttle body spacers are a waste of good aluminum.
Ok, I just recently did this. And this is what I reccomend.
1. Go to a Junkyard and find an older dakota. It should have a circular air filter. Take the top off and get this:

2. Buy a circular air filter, they have a pretty nice Mr. Gasket at Advance Auto Parts. They cost about $27. I went with the K&N, and its great.

3. Go to the Doge dealer, and get a new air intake gasket. Its alot nicer than the one at the parts stores, and its real rubber. I reccomend putting some RTV on it.

You do know I have a patent for that alternative? The oil change DIY and Hemi Orange Grille are Patent Pending.
