which bumper?
okay i know i asked a question like this on my wrecked truck thread but i figured id make a new thread so eveyone could hopefully see it and give some insight. ive narrowed it down between Buckstop classic...and winch ready pre runner series......
Winch ready pros:
looks great.. (like road armor)
the company stocks the bumpers so it will ship out as i order
has shackle mounts which i like
cheaper..cost about 1700 shipped (no paint)
weighs less (i think)
cons:
it comes bare metal or cost $250 more for powdercoat.
comes with 2 light buckets for 4" lights i would have to purchase
no head light protection
Buckstop pros:
full grille guard
6" light buckets which i already have the lights for
comes powdercoated standard
has a front hitch reciever
had factory like tow hooks
cons:
doesnt look AS good IMO
no shackle mounts (which i like over tow hooks)
will cost closer to $2000 shipped.
only have ONE in stock for my truck
pretty heavy
so im torn, each has something over the other in some categories... id rather not buy new lights, or worry about a paint job like i would with the winch ready, but i have a better chance off getting it sooner, and its lighter and looks awesome over buckstop..
id like to order very soon. all opinions appreciated.

It depends on what you want to 'use' it for though. I think the winch ready is ugly as heck. I have a Hansen. Pretty much all of these bumpers are going to be heavy and expensive. Here are a few things I'd look at...
Weight, will you add a winch, do you really need corner light protection, do you need more ground clearance

Do it once, do it right. Go with the one that you like the most and that you feel will be more worth what its being used for.
That being said, they both look pretty BA, but id say get the Winch Ready. If theres anything you want to add to your fav. bumper, that can always be added down the road. Say, light guards for example.
