Default Bad oil pressure sensor?

So, the other day I was driving my truck and noticed that the needle on the oil pressure gage does a little dancing when the truck is idling at a stop. The needle stays in the safe zone (going from half to a few ticks below half, then back to half again), but I'm wondering if maybe an oil pressure sensor or something like that could have gone bad. When I give it gas, the pressure increases and the needle holds steady around half or a little over half until I come to a stop again, at which point it resumes dancing. Thanks for any help you guys give me.

Could be the sender... But I would double check oil level also.
they both have the same symptom you describe.

I was suspecting I could be missing some oil. I'll check the oil level tomorrow morning.
