Default Off road edition suspension - upgrade possible and concerns

I am wondering if there will be any issues if I were to add some stock offroad front coil springs to my already 2" lifted by a coil spacer.

Is the off road editions pitman arm the same as the one on mine?

How about the control arms? Are there any differances from the stock 1500 compared to the off road edtions?

I figure the shocks should be replaced with some that are made for a 2-4" lift.

I will also replace my rear spring block with the 3" off roads editions. I have a AAL and should probably do these shocks as well.

what else should I be concerned with, if this upgrade is even possible?

Thanks for your input

as far as i know the pitman arm is the same i am looking for a pitman arm and i have yet to find one that says its for just the Off Road Edition and the only real difference in the off road edition is a 4.10 and the lift, but as far as shocks go i used rancho shocks made for the off road edition

I just thought there might have been a drop in the pitman arm because of the added lift of the off road edtion

Off Road springs plus 2'' coil spacer = 3-4'' lift

Off-Roads have the same blocks as a stock SLT truck. The lift in the rear of an Off-Road is acieved by a different spring pack

Upgrade is definatly possible. I think with a 3'' and higher lift you need to replace the control arms. TopGunCustomz has some nice tubular ones. Also you should replace the track bar with one for a lift.
