I just bought a RAM 1500 w/ an aftermarket trans. cooler. I need to replace the rubber hoses from the cooler. Does anyone know what's the size of the hose. I'm at work and I don't have it w/me. I called a transmission shop and they said it may be 5/16". Any thoughts.

Also, can I get any "transmission hose" or does it have to be a "transmission cooler hose"...Thanks.

I just installed a cooler last week and I used 3/8 fuel line. The 5/16 was to small. Make sure it is a quality hose, too.

 

Yeah...thanks. I just replaced it w/ a 3/8" today. It had 5/16" on it and it seems like the hose busted. Too small? It was a GoodYear Trans. cooler hose. No more leaks for now...
