I assume you mean a solid front axle conversion? Everyone here will tell you its not worth it. You're better off to sell your 2 wheeler and just buy a 4x4.

It`s a pain, but if you use the spring pockets on the 2wd with 4x4 springs and build your own upper/lower link mounts you will essentially get an 8" lift in the front. Then you can either get re-arched springs or drop your rear shackle mounts and pick up a set of stock 4" blocks for the rear along with new U-bolts.

All of which is a royal pain unless you are really comfortable with fabricating and have a good salvage yard. Though it involves a LOT more fabrication if you aren`t looking for a huge truck... Unless you`re alright with a leaf spring front from an old Ford up front. Either way, it`s lots of work and unless you REALLY like your current truck, it`s not worth it. It will be almost impossible to sell it later on down the road as all the front end parts will be from multiple custom applications so service will be a nightmare for someone else who wasn`t involved in the build.

Just my $.02
