I was wondering if there is a difference between the rear end in my 01' ram with a 318 and a 97' ram with a 360. I know the gears are probably different but how so? what would be the advantages and disadvantages?

A 2nd gen. Dodge 1500 is a Chrysler 9 1/4" rear. 3.55 gears were most common.2wd will interchange with any 2nd gen. rearend. Someone please, correct me if I'm wrong.
