Default Tire time for WaynesWorld

Well... I waited till tax time to purchase some new tires. I picked up a set of 17" Off road wheels and am in the market for some nice new 17"tires now. I want the aggressive look and this truck is my daily driver with 3:55's

I have narrowed my choice down to these. I have around $1k to work with. (I cant believe the price of these tires!)

BF Goodrich Mud terrain KM2's
TOYO Open country MT
Nitto Mud Grapplers
BAJA MTZ

I looking at 285 or 295/70/R17 or 33/12.50/17

thoughts and suggestions?

I have owned 3 of your 4 choices and would say this. I have Mud Grapplers now, absolutly AWSOME off road but there is no way I would put these on a daily driver. They wear pretty quick not as quick as a bias tire like a bogger too quick for daily use.

BFG's wear real nice, have good road manners and perform well off-road.

Toyo's are very similiar maybe a litte louder on the road.

I would go with one of those 2 for daily use and probably the BFG that is my .02

i just bought Mastercraft Courser A/T 2's 10 ply, and i can go everywhere with these, i love my mudding, and i havent had a problem yet, very rugged, even when spinning n rocks, it doesnt take chunks out of the tread, an i have a 60K mile warentee with them, and i paid 726 for everything (mount, balance, alignment, tires, valve stems, free flat repair, and free rotations for life included)

im recommending them for i see you want M/T's and those wear typically faster than normal tires....you wont be disappointed with them....but out of your 4 that you have id say the BFG's

Do yourself a favor and look at the Nitto Trail Grapplers. I too agree that the Mud Graps are excellent off road but will not do well for a daily driver. BUT the Trail graps have GREAT reviews on and off road, and quieter than anything on your list. My next set will be trail graps!! Worth your time to look!!
