Does that one have as much of a whistle as a 14x3. I put the 14x3 on and at normall throtle the air sucking in sounds like a whistle. At full throtle it sounds great. Just wondering if it does im gonna leave mine alone.

Anyone know how good that cleaner is at actually filtering the air? It seems kinda open.

Does it work well?

Prone to a bad seal on the underside (look out for warped base)
Filter area is too small so higher air velocity going through material can allow more dirt in (many complained of dirt in their tbs from using one)
Hold downs inside partially block air passage into tb bores
Carbed mtrs with backfires have been known to catch fire

Sorry, dont mean to rain on your parade,,,,but remember, you mentioned I should post more lol

I wouldnt recommend this filter myself even though I do run some edelbrock parts currently & in the past. They tend to exaggerate a fair bit on results from their products (like so many manufacturers these days)

maybe i just got lucky i had the same breather he ordered on a 350 carb small block and it never caught fire but i guess they are covering their butt so that if it some how randomly just backfires and ignites they warned us. but i haven't had any troubles from my air cleaner and it sounds great to hear the hissing from under the hood especially when you get on it
