Question Tranny Issues

Okay i have a 1996 1500 4x2 with a 5.2. I just had my tranny rebuilt and after putting it back in and trying to drive it I can not get it to come outta First gear. I have park, reverse, neutral and 1st gear. it is a Automatic Transmission. Just trying to see if I can figure something out before i go pulling it back out again. Thank You

Welcome To Dodge Forum.

Before any diognosis is done , shouldnt the shop that re-built the transmission fix it under the warranty? I'd be down their throat if that happened to me!

I would take the guy who rebuilt it for yous word before I took the word of people you don't know. Take your tranny out and have him fix it before you break it.

It could also have nothing to do with the rebuild. It could be as simple as the VSS on the tailshaft is broke or not plugged in.
