Question 3.92 gears

I have a 01 5.2 4x4 that i am going to lift a small amont and put 33" tires on. I would like to put lower gears in something like 3.92 or 4.10. i have searched this forum and it has helped alot but i have a few things i need to clear up before i comit to this.

First if all i want to buy is the ring and pinion is 3.92 the lowest i can go?
second is the front gear ratio a little different than the rear?
third on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard would this be to do myself i have a haynes manual?haha

I have 4.10's and 33's offroad package works well, but 4.56's are for 35's i belive. Could do 4.56's just gonna bring your rpm's on freeway up , good if your going to upgrade again in the future though. Im pretty sure you have to change both front and rear gears to match cant just do the rears gotta do both..

Well i just went and measured just for you real quick. "Normal garage" im not sure, but i live in a sub division where you can **** on your neighbors house in every direction, lol ive tried j/k anyways i measured from where the door hangs down a little fully opened instead of the top door header, and it was 6 ft 8in and i measured my truck roughly with 33's and 2 in level kit offroad package whatever you want to call it, and its about 6ft 6in, witch is about right because i barley clear pulling the front of the truck into the garage, Oh yeah if my wife was prego with twins id save your $$ for the kido's... just alot of variences to consider

thank you for measuring. i got my truck from my little brother cheap it is a salvage title truck i have a little budget but with how cheap i got it i have some room to work on it. ive always wanted to lift a truck thats why i bought it. i love to work on it ive already done tune up kit brakes all the way around intake hayden electric fans thermostat fuel pump. it only has 60000 miles on it so i hope i can keep it along time. the longer it last me the more money for the twins.

Congrats on the twins! Sounds like you'll do just fine and maybe have a few extra helping hands down the road....
