temp sending unit location?

Default temp sending unit location?

on my 1997 ram 1500 with the 5.9? i cant really find one answer. i just need to disconnect it so that i can put my mechanical gauge in there and see what it really is running at temp wise. TIA

Passengerside of the intake, towards the front atleast i think thats where i saw it. Might give you a general idea on where to look

A 97 might have two. Looking at the motor, IIRC the one to the left(under the alternator to the left of the thermostat housing) is for the PCM. The one to the right of the thermostat housing under the AC compressor is for the gauge.

ahh i see that makes sense on why i found two locations when i searched for it. ya i kinda thought it would be the one by the ac compressor. it always has to be the hardest one to get to. good thing i didnt unplug the one on the passenger side.
