Check Engine Light
I did the plenum a couple days ago, then today i did the round 14x3 and i seafoamed.... while I was pushing the gas the check engine light popped up... did this happen because i did the 14x3 and seafoamed and the computer needs a while to learn the 14x3? or should i just ignore the CEL
How did you seafoam it? You didnt hydrolock or whatever the motor did ya? Oil light stays on
, its just an air cleaner nothing else connected to it besides a breather tube? When i put the brake booster hose into the can of seafoam and throttled it by hand it did'nt smoke much and i didnt have any probs, hmmmmmm
when i put the 14x3 i put a breather for the valve cover. when i seafoamed i put a 3rd in the tank, a 3rd in the oil, and a 3rd in the brake booster valve, then i shut it off with the key and waited about 5 minutes because i was desperate to see that sum' bitch smoke....
I forgot what size the breather is for the valve cover? Not sure but hope you didnt loosen up some sludge and plug up the pickup screen or block a oil valley passage way, prob a far fetch, but i dont know what to tell ya at this point.

he's got a 94 OBDI, so the key dance probably won't work. there is a way to pull the codes on the older models, but i don't know it. somebody chime in.
oil light on is real real bad.... i think its supposed to come on when oil pressure is less than 5 or 10 psi. what's your gauge read. if the oil light just came on after the seafoam in the oil, i think i'd warm it up and drain it out.

blinking cel is misfire inprogress on later models, not sure about 94. it might be some after effect of the sea foam and may not be overly important and might go away. its the oil pressure that i'd be worried about.
