Default Correct Orientation For Torque Converter/Driveplate To Flexplate?

94 318 w/46RH tranny

Just wanted to make sure. I have an X stamped above one of the 4 bolt holes on the torque converter where it mounts to the flexplate. The driveplate and converter are one unit. Is there a correct orientation to mount to the flexplate or will it only mount one way? Thanks!

the flex plate to torque converter should be in a perfect X, shouldnt matter where it mounts up

Thanks man. I had to oval them slightly to work. I would imagine this is normal.

You should not have to oval them, the flexplate torque converter only mount one way on the older trucks. You are lucky that you have the 318 and arn't gonna screw anything up by not lining them up properly.

I measured the cross numbers on my flexplate and they were the same. I checked it all 4 possible ways as well and every way one hole was off just a hair. So it was a true X. Must have been a slight imperfection on the driveplate.
