You can use any 94 - 02 dana 60 without modification, I do believe the 2500 and 3500's with the tow package came with dual piston calipers (if im wrong someone correct me) so that may be something you would want to hunt for if you want the best brakes. But even the standard brakes are a good bit bigger then the 1500's. Other then that the suspension mounts are the same thing just welded to a stronger axle

Correction: Sorry but ifergot about this piece of info. In 1998 dodge switched to a different sway bar that had a different mounting brakst on the axle end. This wont cause anything else not to work but just make sure if you have a pre-98 truck and are getting the axle out of a post-98 to get the swaybar also and vice versa or order a new one.

Again if i missed anything else please correct me, and makesure you guys that have already read this to look at the first post again cause i added alittle bit of info about the installation side of the swap.

Nice job.

Copying this thread to the DIY section. If anything changes here, let me know, I will change it in the FAQ as well.

IMO, I'd say make a second thread.

When it comes time, if I don't jump into the thread right away, PM me. That way, when I get time, I'll make sure and add it to the FAQ as well.

Nice DIY my friend. I'm looking into doing this but my concerns are the rear axle swap. Dana 60's front and rear? I have all stock suspension, would it be worth it to upgrade to 2500 springs? I would imagine the heavy axles would cause premature failure of some of the stock parts.
