Ghetto Grille inserts from DF DIY
Well, I read the DIY for mesh grille inserts and decided to give it a try. Went down to Ace Hardware, and found (4) 5ft. strips of gutter guard mesh that was 6 inches wide. Only found it in silver tho, so it needed to be painted black so I didn't have an abundance of chrome up front. Used my cutoff tool to trim it down to size, and zip tied it in there.
Have a couple of pics with it off, and will get a pic sometime of it, when its back on. For a 20$ DIY project, I can't complain

thx guys. Took about 5 hours including a few breaks for dinner and the such.
And cowboy, that's exactly why I did it. Seen too many trucks with the chrome fangs, and chrome horiz./ vertic. bars.
When I was sixteen, I bought some red mesh (same exact stuff), to put in the grille of my cavalier. Cost like 50-60$ from autoparts store. Man, If only i'd known then how badly I was being ripped off. Home Depot/ Lowes/ Ace hardware has the exact same stuff, just has to be painted :P
Again, thx for compliments. Will post pics once its mounted back on
I haven't checked what's inside/ behind the front bumper to see if it'll work, but my plan is to also put this mesh in the two large holes in the front bumper and put some fog lights behind the mesh. Hope to have that done in the next few weeks or so.
Also, while I had it off, took the time to use "Chrome Polish", made by Mothers. What a difference. Went from a dull chrome, to nice 'n shiny. too bad its gonna look weird when I mount it back up to my currently mud covered truck :P
