I've started to notice that my trans is starting to shift a little weird. If I get on it getting on the freeway it usually shifts at exactly 5k. But lately for some reason it keeps going and reaches the rev limiter and wont shift unless I take my foot off the gas pedal completely. But when driven normally it shifts just fine. It has gotten progressively worse since the SCT Tuner was put on. Could that have an impact on the shift points? I set an appointment next week to get it serviced and install a shift kit. Hopefully it'll fix the problem.

I think it's cool though. I know it probably is really bad for the trans but when it reaches the rev limiter and it doe shift to second it throws me in my seat and takes off like a mad dog haha.

 

When I added the turner my trans started slipping the 1-2 shift at WOT with the 87 tune and was even worse with the 93 tune.. I have not tried the towing tune yet cause wanted to be sure it was the turner..
Loaded the stock tune back on and haven't slipped for the last 3 weeks and I really tried the make it .. I am still going to try the towing tune before I do anything with the trans, but think a good shift kit will stop the slipping..
Hopefully someone with really good trans knowledge can answer this....

 

are there any specific shift kits that are highly recomended for our trucks with the 46RE? Is trans-go the best?
