Cold Shifting
2000 Ram 1500 4x4 5.9L Auto
I have read numerous threads and posts on shifting, but have not found an answer as of yet.
In the mornings when I leave to work it's about 40 degrees out. I let the truck warm up about 4 minutes before I take off. Shifting from 1-3 takes forever and I have to pedal the heck out of it to make it shift. Once it's warm after about 10-12 minutes, it's fine.
If i drive it during the day when it's warmer, it shifts right away with no problems what so ever. Plugs, wires, cap, thermostat, plenum gasket etc. were changed out. Why does this only happen in when the engine is not too warm? 40 degrees out is not really cold.
Thanks for any help

i'm no trans expert, but search for old threads from montec and see if you find similar discussion. he'd probably recommend replacing governor pressure solenoid and sensor. i think there's a diy on that from squirrels.
