Question How Much tranny fluid needed?

Hello,

I have just rebuilt my tranny and I have 2 questions:

What is the best method of checking your tranny fluid level? (With truck in neutral ?)

How much fluid is required after a rebuild?

Truck specs:

2001 ram; 3.9 ; V6 ; 42RE tranny ; single cab ; Automatic .

You have to put it into neutral to check the fluid, as to how much fluid after a rebuild is required i'm not sure but the fluid capacities can be seen in the sticky https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...apacities.html

If I recall, it is 11.7 quarts. Yep check the dipstick in neutral once engine is at operating temp.

I hope you filled up the torque converter before you installed it.
