I Have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel. It has been having a feeling like it was breaking traction every now and then so thats what i thought it was. Then today all of a sudden when put in drive the truck had to rev out to go anywhere. Then all of a sudden i have no forward drive at all. Its like the truck is in neutral but i have reverse.

 

Your transmission is done. Check your transmission fluids and smell it for a burnt scent to confirm it.

it might be a ground wire gone bad idk for shore i know a buddy of mine his wouldn't shift into anything and it was just a bad ground. so you might get lucky or you might just need a new tranny
