Default Lincoln Lockers Anyone?

Well, this week my spiders went, so I bought another diff. that I'm swapping in. So I'm thinking its time to re-build the old dif. and put 4.10s in. Question is, if I just weld up the spiders in that dif. how well do you think it will hold? It is a 2wd, and I run 265-75-16 tires on it. Its my DD but I end up in muddy and snowy areas fairly often so its time to solve my traction problem. I don't pop the clutch and spin them at every light, but i do play on occasion, so any input guys?

Welded diffs are great for trail rigs that don't see much street but they'll eat up tires if driven much on pavement..

If welded properly, IE: weld the spider gears/side gears and then weld the side gears to the carrier, it will be very strong..

I was considering a powertrax lockright but there are too many mixed opinions on them. On pavementsucks.com you'll see a few people that love them and never had a problem but you will also see people that have broken a couple and had their gears go out with them. Too big of a risk.

For a 2wd you are wasting money on a locker. Unless you plan on drag racing you will never need it unless you like to fishtail.

I've heard that powertrax no slip is reliable.
