Default Changing trans fluid.

Do you think it will be ok to change it?
Its got about 100k-110K on the trans. Do you think it will crap out after I change it? Ive heard of people changing it and there trans start slipping and crap cuz it had so much crap in the fluid it was grabing with that? Any ideas?

ive heard mixed reviews, my opinion is probably not to do that since so many miles and if it is the first one, i like to flush mine every 2 summers which is around 10k miles i put on in that time

What the hell would it hurt to change the fluid? That makes no sense.

Change the fluid and filter every few weeks and then add an external filter....Or just flush it.

absolutely change it and refill with atf+4. if the pan has a heavy coat of sludge, then repeat the fluid and filter change again after about 1 or 2 weeks. its my opinion that the new fluid puts the sludge back in solution and then stops up the new filter. that's why people experience failures after a long overdue service

Yes, change it. Mine hasn't been changed for 50k+ miles, and I am about too. I am going to get it flushed first, drive it home, and immediately drop the pan and change the filter, and top off. This way I get all of the old fluid, sludge, and particles out.
