5.2L Horse Power Increase!
First of all promise you wont get mad...
I know this topic has 100's of threads but I really need some help.
I have a 1999 5.2L and Ive have been trying to increase the horsepower.
Ive put in a Cold Air Intake, Flowmasters Super 44s, Performance Chip, Throttle Body Spacer (pretty much a useless paperweight), Lowered Suspension. I have had a significant increase in performance but gas mileage is horrible.
I want to check for a Plenum leak and how do I fix it.
There is also hype about a new MAP sensor, I found one but idk if it is realiable brand and make http://www.thepartsbin.com/catalog/?...t=MAP%20Sensor. anything else that can help my performance or mpg.

You're right about the TB spacer being a paperweight. It may even be hurting you performance a little bit.
What performance chip are you using? If its that one that clips onto the two wires going to your IAT sensor, get rid of it. All it will cause you to do is run slightly richer, which will get you a little better performance for a bit, but then you're PCM will "learn" to compensate for it, and it'll do nothing for you in the end. The only real performance gains (that are related to the computer) for these trucks come from programmers, not chips.
MAP sensor may help, but usually not. They rarely go bad.
The plenum fix can be found in the 2nd Gen FAQ, off of the main 2nd Gen page.
