Interior Lights not working

Default Interior Lights not working

i have a 01 Dodge Ram 1500 ( non sport ) and the interior lights do not work. they never worked since i bought the truck. any ideas? i checked most everything already, blubs are good, no power to anything. i thought about just wiring it up myself with new door jamb buttons but thought i would ask the forum. thanks

My guess is that the IOD fuse is missing or blown. It should be in the fuse box inside the cab (the one that is accessible when the drivers door is open). Check fuse #12.

Most people have difficulty locating this fuse, but it is in there.

I had the same problem in my truck, here's how i figured it out:

1. Check fuse. If good, go to step 2

Pull your housing out of the headliner (the one in the middle of the cab just pops out, the overhead console has 2 screws that have to come out). Check and make sure that the plugs are attached to the sockets. The PO of my truck had disconnected them because the jamb switch on the drivers side was broken. Hope that helps.
