try tightening up the one you have know. then disconnect the battery and turn the headlights on for a few seconds to drain the capacitors and see if that fixes the problem

this is an ongoing problem that ive had for a long time,

started a couple years ago. then my truck sat for 2 years and the battery died over the that time, got it going again and same problem. i def either have a leak somewhere or my leak detection pump is shot.

i have another fuel problem. my fuel line doesnt stay pressurized, i've been thinking it was the check valve in my fuel pump. any thoughts. related?

that does sound like a check valve. maybe we can get purpl to chime in on this while I do some thinking, he usually beats me to the punch anyway

its typical for our fuel pumps to go. Sounds like yours is on the way out the door.

Also as for the evap leak, yes i would def. start with the gas cap. if that fails, check the charcoal canister (under truck at driver door...at least thats where it is on mine.) check for cracks in any of the lines, and the canister itself

The behind the pass. valve cover is the EGR valve, check all the lines there as well.

Def stick with OEM gas cap if you replace it. Google P0455 and it comes up with http://www.obd-codes.com/p0455
