Default Damn transfer case tailhousing leaks

So, I was gonna change my tranny fluid and filter. So I get underneath and notice the skidplate is greasy. So I look at the TC, and it is leaking thru the tailhousing seal.

SOB. There goes my weekend. So I drive it to the dealership (it is still under warranty). Hopefully they do not realize that it is under warranty and tell me "YOu need a new TC." to which i would respond, "Darn, I guess I need that work done." And just pay 100 deductible when the bill comes.

The thing that sucks is this:
Previous owner:
31,198 mi: Customer states leak from middle of truck, Transfer case seal replaced
31,302 mi: Customer states TC still leaking. Replace Tailhousing
ME:
41,172 mi: fix transfer case seal.
48,200 mi: It is friggin leaking. Upon looking NOW, it seems like all they did @ 41K was put a ring of permatex around the seal.

This pisses me off. Mainly because I was noticing a grinding vibration for the past 3 months and 1K miles. I am thinking I should have just drove around in 4Hi unitl the TC blew.

Here is why I am pissed:

If there is no warranty: you need a new TC
If you have a warranty: we just need to replace the seals.

Screw them. I am going to do this. I will tell them that the engine is making weird noises, the AC system is not working, and that i smell maple syrup in my cabin. I have a motorcycle to drive the 1 mile to work for the next week. I am going to make sure that they never have me bring my truck there again. if I need to keep paying $100 deductibles, screw them.

thats how they get you...

i had an 07 Focus.

got it with 99 miles. between the course of 5 months, i had 17 inquaries of it being in for the same thing (cv shafts clicking, clutch slipping, tranny grinding, didnt do it all the time, and it wasnt that loud but it was there, and it did it not 500 miles after i bought it. i didnt beat on it right when i got it, and i know how to drive standard)...dealer kept saying its normal. then came out and said i was the kid from the fast and the furious and that i was beating on it.

Well even though i paid 1700 extra to get the extended warentee (10yr/100K) They voided it because my tread was low on my tires. I was a delivery driver an drove everyday, an it needed an alignment. They said it was self inflicted. NO IT WASNT, and then the cv shaft teeth grinded out in the tranny and the clutch blew at 25K....i bough a lemon, but because it went past 18K it didnt qualify for a lemon...never knew about lemon laws until after the fact,

ill never buy new again. The way i see it now is that if i cant pay it in full there on the spot, i cant afford it.

Warranty's arent worth the paper they are printed on.
