Default Max Wheel Size for road tire

Hi
I've got a 2001 Ram 1500 SLT, 5.2L, Quadcab. I wanted to put a larger tire on without adding a lift kit. What would be the max?
Thanks

You can sometime get by with a 285-75-16 but I would say go with a 265-75-16.

+1 if you went with a 285 i would say go with a new rim with proper backspacing and you would be fine.... but if you want to stay completely stock with no problems, just stay at 265's
