fuel problem after plenum fix

ok I figured it out. The pickup coil wire in under the distributor cap had got caught under the intake and smashed it. 44.00 dollar mistake. I hope it didnt fry my computer. I have to wait till tomorrow to get it. The part was not in stock. Do you think i Fried My computer?????

I doubt you fried your PCM.. It was just not getting the signal it needed. Glad you were able to get that figured out. Keep us updated as you install the pick up coil wire and if everything is running..

thanks for all the help. Going to install sunday eve. My son and Installed the intake. he is new to working on cars and he was on that side of the motor lol. but I showed him the part and told him he had to be careful of tat stuff. Not his fault tho

LOL, that's how I became an engineer. I tore up plenty of things when I first started out and I had to fix what I destroyed. Great experience and they don't teach you this kind of stuff in the books... It's his first step to really learning how to be a great technician.

ya I need to watch him a little closer tho. the other day I watched him change his brakes on his mustang, and he for got to tighten the lug nuts on the wheel all the way. luckily he felt it shaking and remembered. he is trying tho lol
