Whats wrong with Toyo's I have never used there AT's or MT's but I have heard a lot of good about them and use there high preformance tires on my car and love them. Posibly the best I have used.
I'm sure lots of people will say they are great. For me, I have never been happy with their light truck tires. I grew up on a ranch, and Toyo tires were sold at the local small town tire shop. They really did not stand up well to hard use around the farm. Seemed to puncture and scar a lot easier, and tread never seemed to last as long. We almost always drove the extra distance into the nearest larger town to buy other brands.

I guess that was about 10 years ago since I owned my last set of Toyo LT's, so maybe quality has improved since then.

I didnt even see the LT as an option when I bought the Open Countries... maybe it's been discontinued because of problems like what you experienced.

Good luck!

Well becareful when you read the reviews there. I bet if someone says they are total crap they wont post the review - might hurt sales. I bought a monitor from newegg.com and it came with dead pixles. When I posted my semi bad review for some strange reason it never got in to the users review area. So... I dont know how much you can gain from reviews from a company that is selling you a tire. It is nice to read them though. I found cnet.com posts every review anyone writes about electronics. Good or bad. And I have read some really nasty stuff there lol.

If you don't like 4 wheel parts there are others that due sell the pro comp tires. (desertrat.com& ntwonline.com) are some other good sources for these tires. A guy I work with has a set of the Yokohama's on his jeep. He says they have pulled him thru just about everything has taken them thru. In the snow he raves about them, especially once he does put it into 4wd. I have a set of the super swamper truxxus mud terrains on my 82 chevy so far they are holding up better than i expected. Very little noise at all from them much quieter than you typical swamper and they come in sizes that can be used on the stock wheels and they have a very friendly price tag on them.

I have 32 x 9.5 Hakkapeliitta's on my truck. They are very quiet on the road and seem to handle the snow and mud very well. I have tried many tires over the years I have been wheelin and I like these the best so far.
