its 46re out of a 1999 1500 ram 1500 4x4 360ci also it had a transgo shift kit i put in it a few years ago. no metal shavings in pan. i have heard it could be tv cable adjustment, the govenor selenoid, possible band adjustment, or it might be as easy as a computer reset. just want some help narrowing it down
and i just got done rebuilding it. took my time had service manual present. but now ive heard nothing but horror stories about these transmission after they get rebuilt
Did it go into limp mode as soon as you finished your rebuild? Did you ever have a time after the rebuild that it drove okay? If so, how many miles did it last?
im taking it to dealership tomorrow for scan. but yeah it drove three miles shifted fine stopped for about 15 min and a friends left running then it went itno limp mode
didnt get new sensors. did flush the lines. when i rebuilt it it didnt really need it i was just doin other work and thought with 120,000 miles it would be needing it and everything looked great except for the p.o.s. torque convertor dodge puts in them it was fried. so i bought a new one
I'm just taking a shot in the dark, but if your TC was fried, the some of those pieces probably got into the solenoids and transducers as well as the valve body.
On a side note, where did you buy your TC from? I need to buy one.
