Default louder exhaust

I have a 01 dodge 1500 with a 360 in it. As of right now i have a y pipe of the cat into duals.( 2 1/4in pipe, 3 1/2 in tips). I'm a kid and my dad says the cat has to stay on it . so.... any ideas on how to make it louder? high flow cats? smaller tips? any help would be great. thanks

Have the pipes exit to the sides in front of the rear wheels. Another idea, which is what I prefer, is to dump the pipes in front or just behind the rear axle. Using turn-downs to dump the exhaust will cause the sound will bounce off the street back to the truck. This will definitely increase the noise levels.

(verify that you won't get tickets for these ideas in your area before making changes... and make sure the exhaust won't be blowing directly on anything under the truck if you use angled turn-downs to dump it.)
