Default Toolbox paint

Ok I have a diamond plate toolbox on my truck its a weatherguard and I got it for free, I'm looking at getting new rims that are black and my truck is all white and black except for the damn mirrors and toolbox....so my question is does anybody know of a paint that I can use on the toolbox that will be able to withstand the abuse.

Was thinking about powder coating but after that is said and done I could almost buy the toolbox I really want. I dont want to paint it and in a week have scratches all down the front because I fill my bed up with sh*t almost everyday.

You could see how much it cost's to have them line-x it. mine was 75 bucks , but mine wasn't diamond plated, it was a white weathergaurd .

you can buy 1 pint cans of Line X and use a paint roller and roll it on. There is also another type of enamal paint called ENDURA. its almost like an epoxy, you can probably order it from a bodyshop (you can't chip this shyt off if you tried).

Thanks for the ideas I was thinking of using the duplicolor truck bed coating I use it all the time but dont know how long it will stay black for and I'm scared its going to be wicked hot during the summer, never thought of using an epoxy type maybe my dad can get some black from work.

Not going to use herculiner, and I think with the Line-x its gonna end up a little thick, the worst part is im going to have to take it off to do this. Oh well maybe another summer project

If you're afraid of bedliner fading, you could do like I did on my rear bumper. I rolled on hurculiner, then sprayed black paint over it. Though, I wouldn't recommend hurculiner unless you want a very rough texture.
