Who knows why my truck wouldn't start this morning?

Ok, some other quick information. About a week ago I was driving home and out of nowhere the truck pegged the battery to 18V. My check guages light dinged and I pulled over. I stopped the truck and checked a few things out and then restarted. It hasn't been a problem since. This was a couple days after I replaced the battery.

Would this in combination with the sluggish start and now the no start indicate something else? I will try the suggestion that 95Ram made and also check the ground wire.

Yeah check your grounds and hook your battery up to a charger if you have one, if nothing seems out of place take the battery, alternator, and starter and get them checked

Ok, so got home and started messing around. The battery is perfectly good, not a problem in the world with it. There seems to be something wrong with the negative battery terminal/cables. I jiggled them around and tightened them down and now the beast fires right up. Hmmmm.

see.... now isnt that better than replacing the starter, alternator, and battery just bc you didnt know what was wrong. just buy yourself a new negative cable and be done with it. or if yours is still in good shape, put new ends on it,

Yep, that is what I am doing tomorrow! Gonna put new ends on the negative cable and see if that fixes her up!

Thanks for the advice!
