death wobble
99 1500 has what someone told me a death wobble. which is a tracbar issue. is there any other part that might cause this or just a trackbar. and is ther e website with this particular issue with indepth description
could be a number of things from bad alignment, mostly your caster and pinion angle. trac bar, or any steering component loose, bad steering stabilizer....but usually not bc i know guys that run truck withough them at all and still dont get death wobble. i have it very bad sometimes but my steering angles are also much different than yours in sure
Dodge doesn't even know "officially" what causes it. How old are your tires? I chased my tail forever trying to fix it. I bought new tires and it went away.
Last time the truck was at the dealership, they "noticed" my tires were over three years old and let me know Dodge now recommends replacing tires at five years regardless of the tread. If yours are getting old, try a new set.

BTW, I still have the original tracbar and haven't had a death wobble since I got new tires three years ago.
I think the tracbar dampens side to side movement. The death wooble is a front to back sine wave.
