Default Transmission cooler leak....help

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 and I have a leak from the fitting that goes into tranny cooler.it's leaking from the fitting that screws into the radiator. it's too tight to get a wrench in there so i need to remove the hose to get a socket on it. Before i tackle this do I need a special tool to remove the hose?

Thanks for any help!

to remove the hose from the radiator, you need a 3/8 inch "fuel line disconnect" tool. its available at any parts store and the cheapy plastic tool is fine. you open the tool up and place it around the the fitting, then slide the male end into the fitting, which spreads the prongs. this should allow the fitting to just come off. if it doesn't just pop off, give it a little back and forth twist while pulling

you may want to remove that fitting from the radiator and re-wrap it in teflon tape, then reinstall and tighten.

be careful not to strip it out, or it'll be new radiator time.
