Hughes plate / kegger mod!
You will notice a significant difference with hughes, and kegger mod....i recommend taking your manifold to a machine shop and have it cleaned. i paid 40 bucks, and my manifold looks brand spankin new. I have had no problems with the Hughes, ive gone about 8K since i did it, been off roading, so ive tached it up pretty high quite a bit, and looking into my manifold 3 days ago, theres not one drop of oil. (and its easy to tell for my manifold is completly silver on the inside.)
Dont get discouraged, its a pretty easy job. Only special tool you'll need is a fuel line disconnect. Other than that, regular socket set and wrenches will do the job. CLEAN EVERYTHING!!! I spent 4 -5 hours just cleaning stuff.
Also its a perfect time to do the dist. cap and rotor. very easy with manifold out.

o.k. i did a search on the m1 and the hughes air gap. It seems like the m1 you loose bottom end but gain top end. Top end power is not my main concern as i do tow and haul things often. So i do not want to loose any bottom end at all. The hughes air gap is supposed to keep the low end power but some people say that theres not much difference between the two intakes. So i guess i'll just stick to the stock kegger and do the hughes kit. Also does anyone have a link to the diy kegger mod. I did a search but couldn't find one.
Mabyee i'll call the mopar tech line and ask those guys about any bottom end power being lost with thier m1 intake. Iv'e called them before and they were pretty good at answering my questions about my ramcharger project. Otherwise i guess i'll just do the hughes plate for now. I will keep you guys posted.
To each their own but I would go with the Mopar as they only spent $$$Millions$$$ on their motors.
Then again what about this?

It looks like the runner goes higher on the first. I never heard of the second one.
Also, if this were installed, it would not void a warranty since it was a MOPAR part.
It is just that mopar overcharges. But then again, only a few companies make aftermarket parts for our engines. Not like other companies that need to compete with prices.
Edelbrock/Hughes vs Mopar performance for our engines
Dart, trick flow, edelbrock, AFR, and the list goes on for chevy 350 parts.
