Default 200 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport Bumber and Grill

Ok, I am very resourceful, but I am having some difficulty. Where would one find a Dodge Ram 1500 Sport (Sport being the keyword) OE bumper?

I have looked at about 15 parts wholesalers, retailers, ebay, etc. and nothing. They have the bumpers but every one says "except sport". Whats the deal?

Why is this such a hard part to find?

Any recommendations, links, sites, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

+1 for LMC Truck. They aren't always the cheapest, usually not actually, but sometimes they carry parts that no one else does.

What year is the truck 2000??? if so you are probrably better off going to the dealer and ordering it through them, and its just a plastic cover so if the truck is wrecked you might need to bend back the metal bumper from behind it

Your looking at about $400 for it too, the only thing that may keep me from converting my truck

and the 99-01 sport bumpers are totally different from the 94-01 non-sport bumpers so thats why only a select few places have stuff for the 99-01 sport front ends

You might even try going through a auto body repair shop? Some times they can get them pretty cheap.

Mine is a sport model too.. I would suggest ordering the whole front bumper package from ebay seller autodepo - it will fit the sport model (even though there is that disclaimer) - already replaced mine twice!!

KYHI what year is your truck, if you fill out your sig it will help out the rest of us.

I have a feeling its older than 99 which would mean that you have just a painted version of the regular bumper.

It is a 1998 1500 sport model - have not found any difference in parts so far between sport and non-sport..

KYHI your truck is like mine and has the same bumper as the non-sport but everything is painted in 99 they changed the front of the sports making a different style bumper, they used a one piece bumper cover that was made out of plastic they changed the grille and went to four bulb headlights, theres some more little differences but those parts will not work on a 99 and up sport thats why they have a no sports disclaimer
