Default Brake Cylinder difference 1500 and 3500

Did the upgrade to the rear brakes about a month ago and was looking through pics and saw these. I noticed an improvement even after my upgraded calipers and feel with just the upgraded cylinders you notice just as much if not more. Cost me $20 for both at autozone and I feel I have gotten the moneys worth out of it.

The 1500 cylinder bore size is .937" or 23.8mm and the 3500 bore size is 1.06" or 27mm

If you have bigger than stock tires or looking to upgrade brakes I would suggest this as a cheap quick upgrade took me about 30 minutes to do both sides and is very simple dont have to take everything off either.

Comparision pics the rusty one is about a 3 month old autozone replacemnt for a 1500 and the shiny one is a 3500

Notice the 3500 one has a smaller metal part but is the same size with the rubber parts so it fits in just the same.

there is a DIY I think but is very simple to do if you have questions just ask

I did that upgrade to my 2500 but I used cylinders out of a GMC 1 ton. It's a 30 mm cylinder. Made a world of difference. I saw it on a CTD post somewhere. Not sure if it was here...

Will the 1 tons wheel cylinders also fit the 1500s? or can the 1500s only take the 3/4 ton wheel cylinders for the upgrade?

There's a good thread on that question if you do a search for it. In fact, there's ALOT of threads on this topic if you do a search for it.

I've read the DIY and other threads on the brake upgrade while searching, and I know how to do it, I just wanted to know yes or no on the 1 ton for the 1500 lol, but I will go ahead and search some more.
