snatching is very bad for the transmission. You will roll the low sprag over doing that. I built the trans in a wrecker, it came in with a blown up low sprag, came back a few months later with a blown up low sprag.

I asked him both times if he was snatching with the truck, he told me no. So i build a different core thinking it was something wrong with the unit. It came back AGAIN with a blown up low sprag. Again, are you snatching? Well what do you mean by snatching? When you hook on to something back up to it and then gun it until the chain or strap tightens up. OH YEAH, i do that ALL the time! He paid again for that last unit, it hasnt been back since. I think he learned his lesson.

BTW he as a 19 year old kid driving one oh his dads wreckers, so dad made him pay for it. lol

Also i wanted to add that my brother and i tore a buick in half with a jeep wrangler and a dodge ram. Ive got pictures somewhere.

I'll remember to look out for that truck so I won't buy it.

Montec is it still as bad for the tranny if you let off right as the strap gets tight, instead of holding power.

No because thats just on the frame or body depending on where you're hooked to.

At that point the only thing pulling against the chain is the momentum of the truck.
