The best I have ever done was the 226 mile trip to lemore Ca on a half of tank of gas. I filled up from almost empty (the light was flickering) and get there and put about 14 gallons in the tank. That is going from ~sea level to ~4200 ft above. Including driving up the grapevine/tejon pass. Coming back I got a little better just be cause it is all downhill. I can believe the claim.

I have got close to that, first weekend I bought my truck I drove it 150 miles on I-81 from TN to Roanoke, VA and got almost 18. Topped off before I got on the intersate and cruise running from 70 to 75 and topped off getting off of the interstate. So no stop and go. 265's, 4x4, and a 5.9. Normally average 12.5 to 14 depending on if I keep my foot out of it.

I average about the same...no one believes it either.....I easily get between 17 and 20 out of mine, it's why I have decided to sell my lil SUV..I enjoy driving the Ram more, and they average the same gas mileage. HOWEVER if my lead foot hubby drives her....she averages nowhere near that....Not saying I don't haul **** in her, but I don't stomp it off the line either. LOL
