Seafoam Treatment!

I just purchased a bottle of this Seafoam ive been hearing alot about. I think I have the procedure pretty much down.

Im just haveing problems with the intake part. I dont know where to find the brake booster line and how to put it in.

And when i put it into the crankcase with the oil, am i suppose to drive it around or just keep idiling it for a few minutes. Sorry to start up another thread about this but the ones I found were pretty much useless to me.

Any help or pics would be awesome. I have full synthetic Valveoline oil is that going to affect anything.

Me and my buddy where talking about that the other day he said 1/3 in gas taink 1/3 in the oil and the other in intake. he was saying after to do you need to change you oil with in 100 miles. So thats what i was planning to do.

There are a RIDICULOUS amount of seafoam threads you should take a look at.

**** the brake booster just use the PCV valve and let it suck it up while the engine is running. Does a better job that the booster line the booster line just lets the liquid puddle up in the bottom of the intake and doesnt really cycle through the system.

I put mine through the brake booster yesterday. No smoke came out so I'm guessing the engine was fairly clean or I didn't put enough in. Oh well.

Read what i said above, putting it into the booster line doesnt do hardly anything. It just puddles up in the intake.

Use the PCV it distributes it evenly through the system.

i ran some through the tank the other day. im going to get another bottle and put in the crankcase and booster. mine needs all the cleaning she can get

I read it. Would it hurt to do the seafoam again from the pcv?

yakkier 04-24-2010 03:46 PM

Nope you can do it as many times as you want in the gas or the pcv, just dont keep adding it to the engine oil.

When you do the PCV make sure the engine is running, let the PCV suck the seafoam up out of a plastic cup or a container of some sort.
