I ****in hate cedar shakes and cedar shingles, no one ever knows how to put them on right they always end up rotting out after 8 or 9 years.
Looks like that roof isnt too bad though, the trees must block most of the wind and sun.

Yes they do. 100ft red and white oaks will do that.
Our ceader has been on there for about 10 years. ME and my dad made that tool shed not bough.
It has 6 pears with 10" block and 3ft footers with rebar in them. 3/4" ply for decking and walls 2x10 for floor joists 2x8's for the walls. No cracking or nothing. I'll have to get some better pics of stuff this week.
